Maududi Spreading Misguidance by Infiltrating Deviant Beliefs into Islam

The British successfully used Maududi to misguide people by injecting deviant ideologies into Islam. He was, in fact, an American Christian CIA agent.

Biography:

Abul A’la Maududi (25 September 1903 – 22 September 1979), also known as Maulana Maududi or Sheikh Abul A’la Maududi, introduced himself as a Muslim scholar, journalist, political leader, and one of the influential Islamic thinkers and philosophers of the 20th century. He was associated with the political party of his home country Pakistan. He was the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, a deviant political Islamic party that still exists in both Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Below are a few pieces of evidence of Maududi's blasphemous beliefs (Kufri Aqeedah):

1. Blasphemy about Allah (SWT):

“In situations where men and women mingle freely, implementing the stoning punishment (as commanded by Allah) for adultery would undoubtedly be oppression.”

(God forbid)

[Tafhimat, Vol. 2, page 281]

2. Blasphemy about the Angels (peace be upon them):

“Angels are almost the same beings that idolaters of Greece, India, etc., consider to be gods and goddesses.”

(God forbid)

[Tajdid-o-Ihya-e-Deen, page 10]

3. Blasphemy about the Prophets (peace be upon them):

“Prophets are not infallible. Every Prophet has committed sins.”

(God forbid)

[Tafhimat, Vol. 2, page 43]

4. Blasphemy about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):

“The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was not free from human weaknesses.”

(God forbid)

[Tarjuman-us-Sunnah, Vol. 3, page 305]

5. Blasphemy about the Companions (Sahabah – may Allah be pleased with them):

“The Companions should be judged by the standard of truth.”

(God forbid)

[Dastur-e-Jamaat-e-Islami, page 7]

It is also noteworthy that after Maududi's death, a publication affiliated with the Shia sect stated:

“The late Maududi also contributed to the spread of Shia ideology in his own unique way.”

(Weekly Shia, Lahore, 1979, Issue 57, pages 40/41; Khomeini and Maududi – Two Brothers, page 12)

Let us now examine some other of Maududi’s statements, which are extremely offensive and completely contrary to Islamic Shari'ah:

(A) Statement about the Holy Qur’an:

“The Qur'an is sufficient for guidance, but not for salvation.”

[Tafhimat, Vol. 1, page 312]

(B) Statement about the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him):

“Hadith has been transmitted orally from person to person. At best, it may be considered likely to be correct, but it cannot be believed with certainty. And it is clear that for matters so important that they determine belief or disbelief, Allah could not have left people to rely solely on a few narrations.”

[Rasa’il wa Masa’il, page 67]

Blasphemous Beliefs about the Companions (Sahabah – may Allah be pleased with them):

According to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah, the belief is that the Companions are above all criticism.

Describing their faults is haram (forbidden) and a major sin.

[Sharh-ul-Aqaid, page 352]

Allah the Almighty says:

“I am pleased with them [the Companions], and they are pleased with Me.”

[Surah At-Tawbah: 100]

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“My Companions are like stars; whichever of them you follow, you will be rightly guided.”

[Kanzul Ummal fi Sunan al-Aqwal wal-Af’al, Hadith No. 1002; Jami’ul Ahadith, Hadith No. 24355]
