 The Nuqta (Dot) of "Ba"

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated that one night, Mawla Ali (AS) began explaining the letter "Ba" in Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. The entire night passed, dawn broke, but the Tafsir (exegesis) was still not completed. At that moment, I realized that compared to him, I was merely a small pond beside a vast ocean.

Mawla Ali (AS) then said:
"O Ibn Abbas, the secrets of all heavenly scriptures are contained within the Holy Qur’an. Everything within the Qur’an is found within Surah Al-Fatiha. Everything in Surah Al-Fatiha is contained within Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. And within Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, the letter Ba holds a dot beneath it.

I am that dot."
