"Never engage in debates with those who follow the strict path of Shari'ah; rather, leave their matters to Allah."

Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) is a radiant star in the spiritual world. He gave a valuable piece of advice to his chief disciple, Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki (RA). He said, “Never engage in debates with those who follow the path of Shari'ah; rather, leave their matters to Allah.” This advice is a beautiful example of tolerance and showing respect towards others.

In this context, a profoundly meaningful saying is particularly worth noting:
“Remember, the person who has no spiritual guide (Pir-Murshid) has no religion.”
To grasp the significance of spiritual practice, the famous Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi (RA) rightly said:
“If you do not know the way, then hold the hand of an experienced traveler.”
An experienced Pir-Murshid helps one overcome various obstacles on the spiritual path and remain steadfast on the right course. Allama Iqbal also pointed to this when he said:
"Pir bin kaisa musafir? Kaisa raah-e-kamil?"
(Without a Pir, how can a traveler find the perfect path?)

In continuation of this thought, it is also said:
“He who has no religion has no divine knowledge (Ma'rifat-e-Ilahi).”
That is, without religious discipline and moral guidance, it is not possible to attain knowledge and understanding of Allah.
Ma'rifat-e-Ilahi refers to the stage of deeply realizing and perceiving Allah.

The next level states:
“He who has no Ma'rifat-e-Ilahi has no connection with the travelers of the path of truth.”
When someone cannot truly know Allah, they lack spiritual ties with those who walk the path of truth.

Another important saying in this context is:
“He who has no connection with the travelers of truth has no well-wishers.”
Those who walk the path of truth share mutual compassion and support. Without such a connection, a person becomes isolated and without help.

Finally, it is said:
“He who has no well-wishers has no friend or guardian (Mawla).”
The presence of well-wishers and companions makes life beautiful and easier. In the spiritual path too, companions and true friends are indispensable.

These sayings highlight the importance of spiritual mentors (Pir-Murshids), the necessity of religious discipline, the significance of walking the path of truth, and the essential value of good companionship. The advice of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) and the wise words of other luminaries serve as vital provisions for our spiritual journey.
