Why Do Muslim Countries, Despite Having Vast Military Power and Resources, Remain Silent on the Oppression of Muslims?

Why Do Muslim Countries, Despite Having Vast Military Power and Resources, Remain Silent on the Oppression of Muslims?

Many people today raise the question — why do Muslim countries, despite possessing vast military power and immense wealth, do nothing for the oppressed Muslims? Why do they merely act as silent spectators?

To find the answer, we need to look back just a hundred years into history. We need to see how the Muslim Ummah once led the world and how it got trapped in a deep web of conspiracy.

Once, Muslims ruled the world — under the shade of the Ottoman Caliphate, the dominance of the Seljuk Empire, and the thunderous spiritual roar of Salahuddin Ayyubi. The Sultans were not only warriors but were also followers of spirituality.

Salahuddin Ayyubi (RA) was a disciple of the great saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA). Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (RA) used to keep a blessed hair of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) under his turban during battle — that spiritual connection and blessing made him 'Saifullah' (the Sword of Allah).

Thus, a combination of bravery, spirituality, and leadership built the victory march of the Muslims.

But the West knew — unless this spiritual consciousness was broken, Muslims could not be defeated. Having failed to defeat them through war, they changed their strategy. They created division among Muslims by introducing a new ideology — 'Wahhabism'.

The founder of this ideology, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab of Najd, aimed to destroy the Sunni creed and spiritual practices by declaring them 'shirk' (polytheism). He even dared to label discussions of the greatness of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as innovation (bid’ah).

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had long warned: "From Najd, the horn of Satan will emerge." Today, that 'Najd' is the modern-day 'Riyadh'.

In reality, from this region emerged an ideology that divided the Ummah, turning Muslims into puppets of the Jews and Christians. They were supported by the British, French, and American imperialists. They spent billions and trillions of dollars to spread this ideology worldwide and launched a terrifying cultural invasion.

Their propaganda declared visiting saints' graves to be shirk, seeking help from saints to be shirk, and sending salutations upon the Prophet to be an innovation. Yet, these were integral parts of the lives of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions.

But we must not forget — Allah says, "Indeed, there will be no fear upon My friends, nor will they grieve." (Surah Yunus: 62)

He says, "Be with the truthful." (Surah Tawbah: 119)

Every day in Surah Al-Fatihah, we pray — "Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your favor."

Therefore, for the revival of the Muslim Ummah, the first task is to free the Arab lands from the political domination of Wahhabism.

Until the Wahhabi leadership is removed from power and Muslims return to spirituality and the ideals of the Awliya (saints), this decline will continue.

After capturing Makkah and Madinah, the Wahhabis bulldozed the shrines of the Companions and the Awliya. Their conspiracy aimed to disconnect Muslims from their past so that they could never understand their true identity.

Then they politically divided Muslim countries. Using Saudi Arabia as a platform, and with Western support, they spread the poison of division across the Muslim world. Under various names — Salafi, Deobandi, Tawhidi — they propagated this ideology.

In the name of Islam, they sowed seeds of hardness and hatred, causing Muslims to label other Muslims as disbelievers.

This division didn’t stay within ideology — it directly entered politics. Under the name of jihad, they made Muslims suicidal attackers, bombed mosques, destroyed graves, and attacked shrines — portraying the entire Muslim nation as extremist and terrorist on the world stage.

The West used this opportunity to launch a 'War on Terror' and invaded Muslim countries — removing Saddam in Iraq, Gaddafi in Libya, Assad in Syria, and installing puppet governments of their choice.

Countries that opposed Wahhabism saw their spiritual Sunni leaders systematically targeted and eliminated. Today, it is difficult to find true Sunni leadership.

This is the reality — the Muslim nation that once ruled the world with authority now sheds tears, unable to stand with dignity.

Wahhabism didn’t just destroy the heritage, spirituality, and creed of Muslims — it has hollowed out the Muslim Ummah from within.

Thus, today Muslims need to look back at their past.

They need to return to that Sunni consciousness, where Sultans would seek prayers at the doors of saints, soldiers would draw spiritual strength before going to battle, and people would maintain their faith and practices under the guidance of pious scholars and saints.

Until the Wahhabi state collapses, until Wahhabi leadership is removed from the Arab lands, and until Western puppet rulers are replaced with truly faithful leaders — the revival of the Muslim Ummah is not possible.

To understand these matters more deeply, read the book "Memoirs of Mr. Hempher, The British Spy to the Middle East". You will understand how the unity of the Muslim Ummah was deliberately broken.

One could write an entire book on this topic. But my sole purpose is to make this point clear — before Wahhabis came to power, Muslims ruled the world; after Wahhabis came to power, Muslims entered an era of defeat, division, and chaos.

Now is the time — to learn from this history and regain the lost empire and dignity of the Muslim Ummah.

Old Islam was the true Islam — where there was no Wahhabism in the Qur’an or in Islam.
