How Maududi Attacked the Noble Companions (Sahabah) with Disgraceful Remarks:
→ (Tarjuman-ul-Qur’an, Issue 35, Page 327)
“Many of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated fabricated Hadiths.” (God forbid)
→ (Tarjuman-ul-Qur’an, Issue 35)
“Among the Sahabah, the evil traits of the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah) resurfaced.” (God forbid)
→ (Tafhimat, Vol. 2, Page 155)
“Hazrat Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was completely unfit to carry the responsibility of the Caliphate.” (God forbid)
→ (Tajdid wa Ihya-e-Deen, Page 22)
“At the time of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) death, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was overtaken by a sense of personal pride.” (God forbid)
→ (Tarjuman-ul-Qur’an, Rabi-us-Sani, 357 Hijri)
“Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) exhibited the vice of nepotism.” (God forbid)
→ (Khilafat wa Mulukiyyat, Page 99)
“Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) committed actions during his Caliphate that cannot be called anything but unjust.” (God forbid)
→ (Khilafat wa Mulukiyyat, Pages 143–146)
“Hazrat Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was self-serving, usurped war booty, accepted false testimony, and was a tyrant.” (God forbid)
→ (Khilafat wa Mulukiyyat, Page 173)
Regarding the Holy Qur’an:
Blasphemous Statement about the Holy Qur’an: “The Qur’an is sufficient for guidance, but not for salvation.” (God forbid)→ (Tafhimat, Vol. 1, Page 312)
However, Allah Almighty says:“This is a Book which We have revealed to you [O Muhammad] so that you may bring mankind out of darkness into light.”→ (Surah Ibrahim, Ayah 1)
According to renowned scholars of Tafsir, the "light" mentioned here refers to the path of salvation.
So the question arises: Who is truthful? The Sovereign Lord, or Maududi?
Regarding the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):
Blasphemous Statement about Hadith:
“Hadith has been transmitted from person to person, i.e., passed on by word of mouth. At most, it may be assumed to be correct, but there is no scope for firm belief in it. And it is clear that Allah would never want critical matters of His religion—those that determine the line between faith and disbelief—to depend on the narrations of a few individuals, thus putting people at risk.” (God forbid)→ (Rasa’il wa Masa’il, Page 67)
What a disgraceful statement!
Maududi’s Other Deviant Views on Islamic Practices:
On Imitating Non-Muslims: “There is nothing wrong in imitating non-Muslims in clothing, behavior, appearance, or hair-cutting styles.” (God forbid)→ (Tarjuman-ul-Qur’an, Safar Issue, 1369 Hijri)
Islam Says:
Muslims must adopt Islamic clothing, behavior, and conduct. Imitating disbelievers in these matters is strictly prohibited.→ (Imdad-ul-Muftiyin, Vol. 2, Page 154)
