Mullah - Parastatal, Sadhak Pir Murshid - Theocracy
The role
of religious leadership is extremely important in the spiritual and social
development of humanity. However, this leadership follows two distinct paths –
on one side lies the so-called Mollah-ism, which often becomes subjugated
by power and tradition, turning into a form of dependency; on the other
side are the Sufi-seekers, spiritual guides, and murshids, who emphasize
direct connection with Allah and focus on spiritual refinement – the path of God-dependence.
Mollah-ism:
A Form of Dependency
Often, Mollahs use religion as a
tool for power and influence. As the Qur’an says:
“And do not sell My verses for a
small price.”
— (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:41)
This verse points to those who
distort the interpretation of religion for worldly gain. When Mollah-ism
becomes entangled with state politics or authority, it ceases to represent God
and instead becomes a carrier of subjugation.
The
Path of the Seeker, the Pir, the Murshid: God-dependence
Sincere seekers, Pirs, and Murshids
who are devoted to Allah guide human hearts toward light. Their path is one of self-purification,
trust in Allah (tawakkul), and sincerity (ikhlas). Their role is
to build a connection between the human soul and Allah.
The Qur’an says:
“And whoever believes in Allah – He
will guide their heart.”
— (Surah At-Taghabun, 64:11)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) said:
“Among the servants of Allah are
those who are neither prophets nor martyrs, yet on the Day of Judgment, the
prophets and martyrs will envy their status.”
— (Tirmidhi)
These are the devoted lovers of
Allah who selflessly dedicate themselves to the spiritual elevation of
humanity.
Conclusion
Mollah-ism often becomes a game of subjugation and power, which stands
contrary to the true spirit of religion.
God-dependence, the path of the seeker, the Pir, and the Murshid, is the
path of divine love and spiritual purification.
In today’s reality, we need those guides
who not only issue fatwas but strive sincerely to turn hearts toward Allah.
