A Divine Declaration and Hazrat Khidr (A.S.)! Alas, the 21st of the Month of Ramadan!
A Divine Declaration and Hazrat Khidr (A.S.)! Alas, the 21st of the Month of Ramadan!
He came from the Holy House of Allah, the Kaaba, the most exalted place on earth. And he departed from the Holy Mosque of Allah!
"Say, I do not ask of you any reward for it except love for my near relatives."
— Surah Ash-Shura / 23
We were so miserly that we couldn't even give this small request of Allah.Close your eyes, isolate yourself, and reflect on the following words with a neutral mind, please.
During the days he spent in this world—did we ever allow him even a single day of peace? He was not even granted a natural departure! We murdered him with a poisoned sword!
➛ What was his crime?
➛ What was his wrongdoing?
➛ Did he usurp anyone’s wealth?
➛ Did he seize power from anyone?
➛ Did he oppress or persecute anyone?
➛ Was anyone unjustly killed by his hands?
1500 years have passed, and even his worst enemies could never accuse him of such crimes.
"For what sin was she killed?"
— Surah At-Takwir / 9
❃ The Stirring Sermon of Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) on the Martyrdom of Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla Ali (A.S.) on the 21st of Ramadan
The companion of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.), Usaid bin Safwan, narrates:
"On the day Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla Ali ibn Abi Talib (A.S.) was martyred, the people of Kufa were overwhelmed with sorrow and grief. The day was as mournful as the day the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) was martyred. The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) was poisoned and killed, and today, Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla Ali (A.S.) was struck with a poisoned sword while in prostration."
A man came among the grieving crowd, reciting ‘Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un’, and in a voice choked with tears, he said:
"From this moment, the caliphate of the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) has been severed—until it reaches him in his home."
Then he said:
"O Abul Hasan (A.S.), may Allah have mercy upon you! You were the foremost in Islam, the sincerest in faith, the most resolute in certainty, the most fearful of Allah, the most patient in suffering, the highest in status, the closest to the Prophet (S.A.W.), the most trustworthy among his companions, the most knowledgeable, the wisest in judgment, the bravest in battle, the strongest in conviction, and the most pious before Allah. May Allah grant you the greatest reward for your efforts for Islam, the Prophet (S.A.W.), and the Muslims."
"O Abul Hasan (A.S.), when the Prophet's (S.A.W.) companions wavered, you stood firm as a solid wall. When they hesitated, you remained unwavering. You defended the faith when others were passive. You were the true and rightful Caliph of the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.). You stood against the hypocrites’ betrayal, the disbelievers' hatred, the jealous ones’ envy, and the oppressors’ hostility. You rose when others fell into laziness. You spoke the truth when others remained silent. You walked the path of divine light when others were lost in darkness. Had they followed and obeyed you, they would have been rightly guided."
"O Abul Hasan (A.S.), you were the most gentle in speech, the most honorable in character, the firmest in faith, the wisest in counsel, the bravest in heart, the strongest in determination, and the most knowledgeable in affairs."
By Allah! You were the true leader of the religion. When people were scattered, you united them. When they were weak, you strengthened them. You carried the burdens they could not bear. You protected them when they were divided. You guided them when they strayed. You provided for them what they could never imagine. You were a mercy for the believers and a torment for the disbelievers."
The people wept as they listened to this moving sermon. Then, as they tried to find the man who spoke, he was nowhere to be found. It was none other than Hazrat Khidr (A.S.).

❃ A Divine Declaration
When Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla Ali (A.S.) was struck by the cursed Abdur Rahman Ibn Muljam (May Allah curse him), Hazrat Jibra'il (A.S.) was heard announcing between the heavens and the earth, which every wakeful soul heard:
"By Allah! The pillars of guidance have collapsed."
"By Allah! The stars of the heavens and the standard of piety have faded."
"By Allah! The rope of Allah has been severed."
"Muhammad al-Mustafa’s (S.A.W.) cousin has been murdered."
"Muhammad al-Mujtaba’s (S.A.W.) successor has been slain."
"Ali al-Murtaza (A.S.) has been killed."
"By Allah! The leader of the inheritors has been murdered! His killer is the most wretched of all wretches!"
Reference: Bihar al-Anwar, Volume 42
❃ Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (A.S.) said:
"When the cursed Abdur Rahman Ibn Muljam al-Muradi struck Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla Ali ibn Abi Talib (A.S.), his wound was reflected in the heavens. The angels gaze upon it every morning and evening and curse his murderer."
❃ Alas! Is this how we repaid the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) for his message?
"They recognize the blessing of Allah, but they deny it, and most of them are ungrateful."
— Surah An-Nahl / 83
➛ May eternal curses be upon Ibn Muljam, Mu'awiya, and all conspirators.
➛ Allahumma al'an qatala Amir al-Mu’minin Mawla (A.S.)
➛ I urge everyone to send curses upon the killers and their supporters and to harbor intense hatred toward them.
