Miracles of the Prophet ﷺ
Miracles of the Prophet ﷺ
At the beginning of the battle, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ faced the Quraysh army and said, "Shahatil Wujuh"—meaning, "May their faces be disfigured." As he said this, he threw dust toward the enemy soldiers. That dust entered their noses, mouths, and eyes—even their throats. None of the disbelievers were spared from this dust attack. Regarding this, Allah says in the Qur'an:
"(O Beloved Prophet!) When you threw (the pebbles), it was not you who threw them, but rather Allah was the one who threw them."
(Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 17)
During the battle, Hazrat Ukasha ibn Mihsan Asadi (RA) had his sword broken. When he approached the Prophet ﷺ, the Prophet ﷺ handed him a dry date branch and said, "Fight with this, Ukasha." As soon as Ukasha (RA) held it, the branch transformed into a sharp and shining sword. From then on, he fought using that sword, which was named "Awn" (meaning "Help"). He continued using this sword in various battles. During the caliphate of Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA), while fighting against apostates, he attained martyrdom—still carrying the same sword.
In the same battle, Hazrat Mu’adh ibn Amr (RA) had his hand cut in half by the sword of Ikrimah, son of Abu Jahl. Carrying the severed hand, he approached the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ applied his blessed saliva to the wounded part, and instantly, the hand was reattached and healed. Hazrat Mu’adh (RA) lived in good health until the caliphate of Hazrat Uthman (RA).
SubhanAllah!
