Fulfillment of the Needs of the Seekers and Other Miracles:


Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbhandari (Q.S.) returned to his native village Maizbhandar in 1857 under the guidance of his spiritual master. Soon after, his spiritual excellence became widely known. His residence transformed into a high spiritual center, attracting seekers and devotees from various backgrounds. The Maizbhandari Sufi order, established by Hazrat Gausul Azam, became a beacon of spiritual guidance and welfare for humanity.

Notable Miracles:

The miracles of Hazrat Gausul Azam can be categorized as follows:

Healing of Incurable Diseases: He cured ailments deemed incurable by conventional medicine.

Economic Prosperity: He alleviated poverty and blessed individuals with financial success.

Blessing of Offspring: He granted children to those who were childless.

Spiritual Influence in Legal Matters: Through his spiritual influence, he secured favorable judgments for his devotees in legal disputes.

Enhancing the Reputation of Healers: He elevated the status of novice healers, enabling them to gain recognition in their field.

Easing the Agony of Death: His blessings provided comfort to the dying and ensured their faith remained intact.

Guidance for the Lost Pilgrims: He miraculously guided lost pilgrims, such as Haji Saheb, back to their homes.

Beyond these, numerous other miracles of Hazrat Gausul Azam are recorded in various texts and are shared through oral traditions. Even after his passing, his shrine remains a center of unity for people of all faiths. Devotees continue to visit his mausoleum, seeking the fulfillment of their needs and desires, which are regularly granted—a manifestation of divine grace.

Hazrat Delawar Hossain Maizbhandari (R.A.) eloquently described Hazrat Gausul Azam's (Q.S.) divine attributes, stating:

“The shrine of the perfect one eradicates all sorrows, bestowing peace and solace upon the hearts of the lovers.”

Recognition by Islamic Scholars:

Contemporary and later Islamic scholars have expressed deep respect for Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbhandari (Q.S.) and acknowledged his spiritual eminence. Hafiz Maulana Hazrat Syed Ahmad Shah Sirikoti (R.A.) remarked,

“He is the emperor of the saints of this era; his authority is supreme.” The then Amir of East Pakistan Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Maulana Syed Azizul Haq Sher-e-Bangla (R.A.), in his book Diwan-e-Aziz, praised Hazrat Syed Ahmad Ullah Maizbhandari (Q.S.) as:

“Hazrat Shah Ahmad Ullah is the Qutb of the eastern region. He is the king who sits on the throne of Maizbhandar, a beacon of guidance for the Ummah of Ahmad. His grace is like the shadow of the Huma bird, turning misfortune into fortune. One of the two crowns of the Prophet (PBUH) is firmly placed upon his head. Therefore, he is the source of divine blessings for jinn, fairies, and humans alike.”

Establishment of the Maizbhandari Tariqa:

Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbhandari (Q.S.) founded the Maizbhandari Tariqa, a Sufi order rooted in the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith. This Tariqa integrates the spiritual attributes of various Sufi orders, particularly the Qadiriyya, while emphasizing Islamic principles. It is characterized by its non-sectarian, inclusive approach, promoting moral values, social equality, and compassion for humanity.

The Maizbhandari Tariqa aims to awaken divine love in the hearts of individuals, guiding them towards a righteous and just life, ensuring both worldly and spiritual well-being.
