"Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbandari (Q) and the Determination of His Spiritual Successor:

Before his passing, Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbandari (Q) designated his grandson, Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Delawar Hossain Maizbandari (RA), as the successor to his Gaddi Sharif. During the last days of Hazrat Syed Ahmad Ullah (Q), one day after the Friday prayers, a follower and mosque-goer, Asab Uddin, the brother of the Mahallah’s leader Syed Uddin, came forward with a request on behalf of the devotees and Muslims. He said, “Huzur, your health is gradually weakening, and it is uncertain when you may leave us. It would be better if you appoint your elder grandson, Syed Mir Hassan, to the Gaddi (spiritual seat) in your place.” In response to this request, Hazrat (Q) replied, “Mir Hassan Miyan is still underage, my ‘Delamoyna’ is of age! Delamoyna will sit on my Gaddi.”

The followers, upon hearing Hazrat’s response, could not understand the hidden meaning behind the statement, especially when Hazrat referred to the elder brother Mir Hassan (RA) as "underage" and the younger brother Syed Delawar Hossain Maizbandari (RA) as "of age." Forty-three days after Hazrat Syed Ahmad Ullah Maizbandari’s (Q) passing, when the elder brother, Mir Hassan Miyan, also passed away and became a resident of Paradise, the devotees finally understood the mystery of Hazrat’s words, which were one of his many miraculous acts.

Hazrat Syed Delawar Hossain Maizbandari (RA) emerged as a new spiritual presence in the Maizbandari community, having been designated as the Gaddi Sharif's successor. He became a unique and extraordinary figure, dedicated both to spiritual guidance and to the welfare of humanity. Through his Khilafat, Syed Delawar Hossain Maizbandari (RA) assumed the position of the spiritual heir, and he became the central figure in the Maizbandari tradition.

In reference to the appointment of the successor, Hazrat Ashi-e-Gausul Azam (RA) said, “Especially, in the absence of a true Pir, and among those who are unbound by religious restrictions, there has been disorder in the name of Fakirism due to people who are ignorant of the Quran, Hadith, and Sufi teachings. These people, who spread falsehoods in the names of perfected Pirs and elders, deceive simple-minded followers. Many of these people, unable to show any personal achievement, claim to be Maizbandari or Ajmeri because these two darbars (spiritual centers) have widespread fame. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the correct methodology of the Maizbandari path and the essence of the true Maizbandari Pirs and Murshids to properly receive the spiritual blessings and guidance."

This passage discusses the spiritual succession after Hazrat Gausul Azam Maizbandari (Q), the designation of his grandson Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Delawar Hossain Maizbandari (RA) as his successor, and the significance of this spiritual inheritance. It also addresses the distortion and misrepresentation of Sufism and the Maizbandari tradition by individuals who mislead others for personal gain, urging followers to adhere to the true teachings and lineage of Maizbandari.
