Introduction to the Pure Panjtan (Five Holy Personalities) and the Theory of Twenty-Five Elements

Introduction to the Pure Panjtan (Five Holy Personalities) and the Theory of Twenty-Five Elements

The Identity of the Panjtan (Holy Five):

  1. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) — Symbol of fulfilling the Will of Allah.

  2. Hazrat Ali (AS) — Symbol of Allah's Power and Justice.

  3. Hazrat Fatima (SA) — Symbol of Allah's Moderation and Beauty.

  4. Hazrat Hasan (AS) — Symbol of Allah's Peace.

  5. Hazrat Husayn (AS) — Symbol of Allah's Truth and Sacrifice.

In Hadith-e-Qudsi, Allah the Almighty says:
"I was a hidden treasure. I desired to be known, so I created creation to manifest Myself."

When Allah willed to manifest, He adopted the name "Ahad" (The One). From "Ahad" emerged the name "Ahmad." The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
"Ana Ahmad bila Meem" — "I am Ahmad without Meem (M)," meaning the One (Ahad) is the same as Ahmad.

Just as water, ice, and vapor are different forms of the same entity — Ahad (The One), Ahmad, and Muhammad are manifestations of the same divine essence.

In His concealed state in Ganj-e-Makhfi (Hidden Treasure), Allah existed in supreme solitude. When awakened by the consciousness of Divine Love, He willed to manifest His Being. At this moment, two states of Allah emerged — Will and Cause of Will.

The second state led to the creation of the universe for Divine Play (Leela) — trees, animals, the moon, sun, stars, jinn, angels, etc. However, Allah's secret intent was not revealed in any of these. Ultimately, He manifested His attributes in the best of creation — Prophet Adam (AS), who was placed in the Muhammadan Essence.

The first creation was the Ahmadi Noor (Light of Ahmad), which took the form of Five Divine Lights (Panj Noor). Ahmad remained in a formless state, while from His essence emerged Divine Attributes — names like Rahim (Merciful), Karim (Generous), Sattar (Concealer), Jabbar (Compeller), etc., which existed in the formless realm.

The essence of Divine Names is Formless — known as Belghaib (Unseen, Infinite).

Just as fragrance cannot exist without the flower, similarly the manifestation of the Divine requires a medium. While most believe in the formless Allah, few have the courage to believe in His Manifest Form. Seeking the essence behind the Divine Names leads to the vision of the Lord (Mola).

Thus, the song says:
"When from the treasure you became conscious,
Desiring to manifest Yourself — creation came into existence.
That Supreme Power divided into six parts,
Five became formless by Name, forming the Panjtan."

These Five exist in the spiritual body in five levels of certainty:

  1. Ilm-ul-Yaqin (Knowledge of Certainty)

  2. Ayn-ul-Yaqin (Vision of Certainty)

  3. Haqq-ul-Yaqin (Truth of Certainty)

  4. Huwa-ul-Yaqin (Certainty of He Himself)

  5. Belghaib-ul-Yaqin (Certainty in the Unseen)

In the human body, these are reflected as:

  • Latifatan (Subtlety)

  • Fanatan (Annihilation)

  • Baqatan (Subsistence)

  • Nuritan (Light)

  • Kasifatan (Density)

These correspond to five types of love:

  • Majazi (Metaphorical)

  • Siddiqi (Truthful)

  • Kasifi (Revealing)

  • Mahbubi (Beloved)

  • Haqiqi (Real)

Combining the five spiritual components with five bodily compositions gives us 5 x 5 = 25 — the Theory of Twenty-Five.

The Five Elements in the Body:

From Earth: Bones, Flesh, Skin, Veins, Hair.
From Water: Semen, Blood, Marrow, Stool, Urine.
From Fire: Hunger, Thirst, Sleep, Laziness, Illusion.
From Air: Holding, Moving, Contracting, Expanding, Expelling.
From Ether: Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment, Shame.

Within these 25 are further 50 qualities.

This esoteric truth is expressed in Rajjab Dewan’s song:
"The Five Powers of Panjtan are the source of creation,
Taking five forms with five names — Muhammad Rasul.
Sitting under the tree of certainty,
Merging as Panjtan — they created this universe."

This bondage of twenty-five forms is the Muhammadan Essence (Muhammadi Wujud). Through this essence, Allah continues to manifest His attributes from the unseen to the seen.

The Spiritual Journey:

Without a true spiritual guide (Kamil Murshid), attaining proximity to Allah is impossible. Allah has said:
"Seek the means to approach your Lord, and strive in His path so that you may succeed."

The essence of the Qur’an lies in the mystery of the letters:

  • Alif represents Allah's Being.

  • Lam represents Allah's Manifest Form — the world and Adam.

  • Meem represents the successor of Allah's message — Prophets and Messengers.

This is hidden within the word "Alhamdu" in Surah Al-Fatiha — reflecting Ahad, Ahmad, and Muhammad.

In the Qur'an, it is said:
"Wa Fi Anfusikum Afala Tubsirun"
"And in your own selves, do you not see (the signs)?"

Allah, Prophet, and Adam exist in your soul — their breath flows in and out with the sounds of Ha-He-Hu — recognized only by those who have attained spiritual knowledge (Ilm-e-Irfani).

Ultimately, to truly see Allah, one must see with Allah's eyes. Seeking the formless Allah alone can lead to confusion or despair. Thus, Allah manifests His attributes through His creation while remaining unseen and infinite.
